10 a.m. - Meet at Bon Secour and then tour Highway to Nowhere: 45-60 minutes, and Coppin State University, and Pennsylvania Avenue.
11:30 a.m - Arrive by at Bon Secours: 26 North Fulton Street, 2nd Floor conference room. .
Attendees so far: Magnet School, PNC Bank, Womb Works, Pennsylvania Avenue, Baltimore Heritage, Parks and People, Morgan State University, Brain Francoise, ROOTS Staff, Hope Clark, April Turner, "Bobby B", Rebekah Jones
Agenda: Working Lunch-Ashley will coordinate getting lunch in
1) Overview of the festival; The Big Picture -11:30-1:00 pm
A) ROOTS- Who is the festival for, who is the audience, how many people do we want to see, what kind of media coverage.
B) Local Community Perspective-What does it mean for the community, what comes after?
Q and A
2) A Green Festival Presentation- Rebekah Jones, (show and tell stuff needed?) 1:00 – 2:00 pm
2:00 -2:30 pm (Meet with Will Backstrom and his contacts after this presentation, take half hour break.) Logistically what do we need and when.
3) Dreaming a Community-programming the festival: 2:30-4:00 pm
4) Pre-festival Symposia -4:00-4:45 pm
5) Ask people to think about a name for the festival, something catchy that connotes fun, no more three names each. 5:00-5:15
6) Adjourn

Nuts and Bolts: 10:00 am
1) Values of how we work together; roles and responsibilities, lines of communication between ROOTS and Baltimore, how we operate internally and how we work with the local partners, address progress questions. Which are Baltimore tasks, which are ROOTS; 10:00-11:00 am
2) Calendar of logistics –people, venues, money, contracts – 11:00-12:00 pm
3) Budget – Paid positions: festival coordinator/producer, volunteer coordinator, vendor coordinators, programming assistant, 12:15-1:00 pm
LUNCH 1-1:45
4) Local activities/community engagement leading up to the festival- responsibility, money; legacy of the festival 1:45-2:45
5) Pre-festival symposia- where, who, what, money- Carlton, Hope, Ashley 2:45-3:30 pm
6) Outdoor festival- programming- who, what, money, local artists, ROOTS artists, and nationally artists for a draw. 3:30-4:30 pm
7) Names- Keryl will figure out process to get us through this section 4:30-5:00 pm
8) Marketing/ media/ pr/ branding/visibility. 5:00-5:30 pm
9) Next Steps/ Follow Up 5:30-5:45
