NET Micro-Fest Fellows

Dear Friends in Detroit, Appalachia, New Orleans and Hawaii, NET is launching the inaugural MicroFest Fellowship program to support the attendance and participation of artists and community members in your regions at each of the Micro-Festivals. Micro-Fest USA is a four-city festival/think-tank event that looks at America and the role that art and artists play in creating healthy, vibrant communities. I write asking for your help in distributing the application to folks in your community. You are also encouraged to apply. This will be a great opportunity for all those involved. Our hope with the program is to advance learning, build bridges and to further build vibrant communities. Over a 10-month period, a cohort of eight Fellows from the four Micro-Fest host communities will come together five times to discuss and explore the dynamics of arts-driven, cross sector collaborations (i.e. artists/arts organizations and other sectors). Activities will include explorations of collaboration models, intimate conversations with leaders in these practices, skill building, reflection and study of cross sector collaboration practices/challenges, support for individual projects, facilitation and organizing skills. More details on the Fellowship opportunity can be found in the attached document. More about Micro-Fest and NET can be found at http://ensembletheaters.net/programs/. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thanks for your help! Best Ashley Sparks Micro-fest USA Event Coordinator 540-558-8744
