Tell us your thoughts about this here website!

As you’ve hopefully heard by now, we’re in the process of updating and re-designing our website, and we need your support. We can’t do this right or well without the voices of many, many people in the room. At the moment, this is what we’re thinking... Our website has three main audiences: * ROOTS members - ROOTS members are a special breed of artists working at the intersection of art and activism. They make original work that is of, by, for, together with their communities, often with a social, environmental or economic justice theme. Most of our members live in the US South, but we have satellite members who live across the country and around the world. * Prospective members/artists in our network - These are folks who may - or may not - know about ROOTS already. They may be our colleagues in other organizations. Perhaps they are college students who are researching the field, history, and methodologies of community-based art-making. They could be our current or potential funders. * The general public - We define the “general public” as folks coming to know Alternate ROOTS for the first time, who want to learn about us. When you look at this list, do you think these are the audiences we should be targeting and serving with our website? If not, how might we refocus? Do you fall into one of these categories? If not, how do you self-identify, and how might the website serve you better? Leave a comment here and tell us what you think! Better yet, give us a call at the office - 404-577-1079. We'd love to hear your thoughts.
