2010 C/APP Overview

Greetings RSC folk,

This is your friendly neighborhood RSCer, Carlton. Since the RSC retreat at the Annual Meeting, I have been working with Gwylene Gallimard and Trey Hartt on the C/APP process, timeline, and application. We have come up with a solid draft. I have attached it to this posting and would like for you to go over it at your leisure.

As it stands right now, the major change to the C/APP grant is that there is now support for Partnership Development. This is for partnerships that aren't quite ready to apply for project support but want to explore the possibilities of a deeper and more engaged partnership. The amount is up to $2000.

The current timeline for the 2010 C/APP grant is as follows:

• October 5: Application available to voting members via online and snail mail
• November 13: Submission deadline. Applications would go through an initial review by a small group made up of RSC members and staff.
• December 2: Conflict of interest free C/APP panel meets.
• December 16: Awards announced.
• January 1, 2010: Project earliest possible start date.
• December 31, 2010: Project end date.
