Website Redesign take 2

This is a final call for folks who are interested in having a say regarding the idrection of the new site design.  I am trying to get the group to participate for a variety of reasons:

1. to save money.  if i do it myself and folks don't like parts of it, it will take more time/money on my end.
2. this is a group of artists who like to have a say, and if you do not jump in at this point, your say will have much less weight.

Please email me (ana at alternateroots dot org) and:

1. give me 5 adjectives describing what the site might look/feel like.
2. give me examples of other aesthetics/sites/publications that we might get inspired by or have been inspired by in the past.
3. give me a brief low down on what you all might be looking for or what your thoughts are.

If I do not hear from you, I will assume that you do not want to be a part of this process, and that you understand that jumping into this process later will mean a greater expenditure of money and time for ROOTS.

(this is Ana) So far I have only received one piece of feedback from these, and am concerned that there is no desire to make further visual design changes to the site. If this is inaccurate, then please respond to the original post for feedback. If not, I will finish up some design compliance issues with Internet Explorer today, and will close the visual design chapter of this website.

Check it out...FEEDBACK NEEDED

I have started making changes to the site theme, and am ready for feedback. Please comment here (add comment) to give feedback. The changes are subtle, so you are looking for little changes. If you aren't seeing it, try re-loading the page. With the changes I made the top tabs should NOT be a solid grey but INSTEAD a light color with darker outlines.

Other changes include:

*reduction of font
*addition of light brown root to menu box headings (the brown boxes)
*change of the logo/header to be smaller and lower and more tight

What you are looking for is a first impression - because you won't be able to remember what the old one looked like.

Hey Ana,

I have a question about the design of the RSC Portion.

1. I wanted to ask if it would be possible to create a space to
visually represent the members of RSC with a format similar to
that of website profile pages where a picture is accompanied by
a bio/information about the members?

2. Also wanted to ask if I could give you some feedback from our RSC
Conference Call on Tuesday?
