Lodging Options

A variety of lodging options are available to attendees.  Lodging assignments will be made according to physical needs—not according to how much you pay.  Please consider carefully anything that will help you have a better participant experience before making your housing request.  Some things to consider include:

  • need for quiet vs. need to party ‘till the break of dawn
  • allergies
  • disability
  • need to be with your family
  • need to meet as many new people as possible

So, with that in mind, our housing options are described below:

Multiple Occupancy

Cottages, Hill & Lakeside Cabins: The cottages and cabins have 2-3 bedrooms each room sleeping four.  You must bring your own bed linens, pillow, blanket, and towels.  If you are driving to the meeting, we ask that you bring extra bed linens for those who are flying in.  After you register, you will select your bed and sign the sheet posted on the door of your cabin room.  You may designate your cabin as “All Women,” “Snore-free Zone,” “Children Inclusive,” or whatever will make life more comfortable for us all.   A disabled-accessible cabin is available.

Double Occupancy

Kohnjoy Inn & Thornburg Hall (a dorm-like facility): Kohnjoy rooms have two double beds, desk, chairs, and private baths with individually heated and air conditioned rooms. Thornburg rooms contain an assortment of double and single beds.  Most suites have connecting shared baths.  Rates quoted are based on double occupancy.  You will be given the opportunity to share your roommate preferences on your registration form. A limited number of disabled-accessible rooms are available.
