ROOTS Weekend-Richmond: Creating a World Without Prisons

If you are interested in attending ROOTS Weekend-Richmond and need financial assistance, please fill out the ROOTS Weekend Travel Subsidy Request Form. Requests are due Sunday, March 5, 2017. We will award stipends on a rolling basis during the application period – meaning we will disburse available funds from now until March 5 – so participants are encouraged to apply early!

Travel subsidies are open to anyone interested in attending ROOTS Weekend-Richmond. One of the goals of the ROOTS Weekend Series is to strengthen our membership in specific regions across the South. With this goal in mind, preference will be given to those who live in Virginia, and the surrounding region, including Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Washington D.C. We will also give preference to those formerly incarcerated or detained and families of those currently incarcerated.
