ROOTS is Hiring!

 

We are hiring for one full-time position, and one part-time fellowship position!

  • Finance Manager (full-time)
  • Justice Advocacy Fellow (part-time)

The Finance Manager applies generally accepted accounting principles to manage the financial activities of Alternate ROOTS, including financial analysis and planning, accounting operations and reporting, budgeting, and external audits. This position ensures that Alternate ROOTS meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting issues.

The Finance Manager position is a full-time, 40 hours per week, exempt position that is fully remote. In addition to a competitive salary – which is listed on the job posting – total compensation includes:

  • A fully remote work environment, with flexibility to meet your schedule
  • 2 weeks vacation (to start), 3 floating holidays, 7 wellness days and 3 weeks of office closure days for holidays and end of the year staff reflection

The Justice Advocacy Fellow is an effective communicator and administrator and has demonstrated knowledge of and skills in local and state government advocacy work. They will work closely with the Alternate ROOTS Executive Director and Operations Team and a national advocacy network to ensure timely communication to member constituents, clear calls for advocacy action, and capturing of impact stories to motivate political movement.

The Justice Advocacy Fellow position is a remote part-time position that entails 4-8 hours of work per week. Additionally, the fellow will receive a monthly stipend that is listed on the job posting.
